Robert Brady is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth where he is currently conducting a hybrid trial of a brief psychosocial intervention for health anxiety delivered in primary care. This trial is part of his K23 career development award funded by the National Institute for Mental Health. This project will identify the facilitators and barriers to implementation across clinic settings and pilot implementation in a prototypic clinic, in addition to evaluating the effect of the intervention on health anxiety and its implementation using entry-level providers. This work is consistent with his larger research program aimed at developing and implementing brief, scalable psychosocial interventions delivered by entry-level and lay providers in non-traditional mental health settings. The goal of this work is to increase access to mental health services and improve engagement for clinical populations that are otherwise unlikely to receive effective interventions. He completed his doctoral training in psychology at the University of Arkansas followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in Health Services Research and Development at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System prior to joining the faculty at Dartmouth.
