Jaime M. Hughes, PhD, MPH, MSW, is a Medical Instructor, Department of Population Health Sciences, and Senior Fellow, Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development, Duke University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the design and implementation of health promotion interventions to optimize functional independence in complex older adults. Jaime is currently leading a mixed methods study to adapt an effective sleep health program from a clinical setting to home and community-based settings. She is specifically interested in using mixed methods to bridge intervention development and implementation science, and in exploring strategies to actively engage older adults, caregivers, and key stakeholders in this process. Jaime received her BA from New York University, MPH and MSW from the University of Michigan, and PhD from UNC-Chapel Hill. Prior to joining the faculty at Duke University, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in health services at the Durham VA Medical Center.
