Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan

Dr. Wu is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan. She has completed a Reproductive Health Fellowship and a Master of Public Health at the University of Rochester.  Dr. Wu has clinical and research expertise in family planning and the prevention of unintended pregnancy. Her research is informed by and reflects lessons learned from over a decade of experience training residents and colleagues to provide full spectrum sexual and reproductive health services in primary care. Dr. Wu is interested in increasing the use of rigorous mixed methods to improve the design and implementation of family planning interventions in the clinical setting. Her current project is a multi-phase, intervention mixed methods study with the aim of designing and implementing a contraceptive decision aid for women with chronic conditions, their primary care providers, and for use in primary care.  Dr. Wu is a consultant for the Michigan Mixed Methods Research and Scholarship Program based at the University of Michigan. She has had numerous leadership roles at the institutional, regional, and national level. Currently, Dr. Wu serves as the Board Chair of the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, a multidisciplinary, non-profit organization dedicated to advocacy and training of health professionals to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes for all individuals.
