Pathway Program with Goucher College

About the Pathway Program

The Bloomberg School's partnership with Goucher College offers their students an accelerated path to a master’s degree, where they can earn their undergraduate degree at Goucher while pursuing a Master of Health Science (MHS) from the Department of Health, Behavior and Society or a Master of Bioethics (MBE) from the Bloomberg School.

Admissions Requirements

  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • Application Deadline – July 1
  • All supporting documents (including letters of recommendation and transcripts) must be received no later than July 15

How to Apply

Step 1: Go to SOPHAS Express.

Step 2: Create Profile and Start Application. 

Step 3: Add Program by typing in "Johns Hopkins" or "Special Student" in the Search Box. 

  • For the MBE select: "Special Student Regular: Berman Institute of Bioethics"
  • For the MHS in Health, Behavior and Society select: "Special Student Regular: Health, Behavior and Society"

Step 4: Complete the application for admission. Please be sure to do the following: 

  • Upload unofficial transcripts from ALL colleges and universities attended. This includes transfer credit.
  • Answer "Yes" to the following program specific question: "Are you a current undergraduate Goucher College student?"

Step 5: Submit application along with the $55 application fee.

  • The application deadline is July 1.
  • All supporting documents (including letters of recommendation and transcripts) must be received no later than July 15.
