Faith Thomas, JD
Faith Thomas is the former Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit organization that provides capital to support affordable housing and economic development in low-income communities. As the Chief Legal Officer of Enterprise, she had a broad range of responsibilities relating to general corporate, real estate development and tax-exempt organization law, with particular expertise in real estate lending and financial transactions, contract negotiations, litigation management, labor and human resources, intellectual property, and corporate governance. In addition, Thomas structured, organized, and provided technical assistance to 501(c)(3) corporations and supporting organizations, reviewed regulations, and provided policy advice on the implementation of federal, state, and local housing programs. She also has practiced privately, representing commercial lending institutions and businesses in structuring, documenting, and financing sophisticated real estate transactions.
Thomas has extensive nonprofit, civic, educational, and community-based experience, serving on various boards and committees. She currently serves as a vice chair of the board of directors of GBMC HealthCare, Inc., and is an active member of the Baltimore chapter of The Links, Incorporated, an international women’s service organization.
Thomas received her undergraduate degree from Morgan State University, summa cum laude, and her law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
