NIMH T32 Mental Health Services and Systems Training Grant
Multi-PI Program Directors: Colleen Barry, PhD, MPP and Elizabeth Stuart, PhD
The goal of our NIMH T32 Mental Health Services and Systems Training Program is to train scholars who will become leaders in mental health services and systems research. This program focuses on producing researchers who can address critical gaps in knowledge with a focus on: (1) how health care services, delivery settings, and financing systems affect the wellbeing of persons with mental illness; (2) how cutting-edge statistical and econometric methods can be used in intervention design, policies, and programs to improve care; and (3) how implementation science can be used to most effectively disseminate evidence-based advances into routine practice. The program strongly emphasizes the fundamental principles of research translation and dissemination throughout its curriculum. Jointly administered by the Departments of Health Policy and Management and Mental Health, the training program also has a close affiliation with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. The partnerships between these two Departments and the School of Medicine ensure that trainees have access to faculty with a wide range of backgrounds and expertise.
Prospective students interested in a pre-doctoral slot should apply to the relevant department. Post-doctoral applicants can apply using this process.
