Academic Integrity
The faculty and students of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health share joint responsibility for maintaining academic integrity and guaranteeing the highest standards of academic conduct at the School. Students are obligated to refrain from acts which the student knows, or under the circumstances has reason to know, will impair the academic integrity of the School.
Required Online Course: Academic and Research Ethics
The Academic and Research Ethics online course is required for all Bloomberg School students in the first term in which they are registered.
Responsible academic and research conduct is a key element of graduate education and necessary to the School's mission. Students at the School are expected to adhere to the highest responsible conduct in both academic and research settings. Enrollment in this course upon matriculation to the School reinforces the importance of these core values.
Note: PhD students are required to take the Academic and Research Ethics online course upon matriculation in addition to an in-person Responsible Conduct of Research course required for all PhD students.
