RICH LIFE tested a comprehensive patient-centered approach to reducing disparities in blood pressure control and improving activation among persons with hypertension.
5 Plus Nuts & Beans for Kidneys
Five Plus Nuts and Beans for Kidneys studied how eating meals rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, beans, and lean meats can lower blood pressure and protect the kidneys.
ADHINCRA
The ADHINCRA study tested whether blending technology, non-clinical caregivers, and culturally relevant messaging can improve outcomes in the management of high blood pressure for rural, low-income patients in Ghana.
Project ReD CHiP
Project ReD CHiP (Reducing Disparities and Controlling Hypertension in Primary Care) used interventions targeting behaviors at three levels – patient, clinician, and system -- to improve blood pressure control in six clinics.
ACT Study
ACT (Achieving Control Together) engaged patients, families, and the community to help African American patients with high blood pressure take charge of their own health.
