About the Lipitz Center Endowment

The Roger and Flo Lipitz Center to Advance Policy in Aging and Disability and the Eugene and Mildred Lipitz Professorship were created in 1998 through a generous gift from Roger and Flo Lipitz and the Lipitz Family Foundation to the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

The Center was established to catalyze evidence-informed health policy to benefit the lives of people with disabilities and complex health needs.
Formerly known as "The Roger C. Lipitz Center for Integrated Healthcare," the Center changed its name in 2024 to reflect the focus on translating evidence into policy through activities such as building partnerships and engaging trainees in practicum and internship opportunities in applied settings with key partners,
The Professorship honors Roger C. Lipitz’s parents, who were early leaders in nursing home care. Lipitz continued in this career path and was instrumental in building the field in Maryland, serving as chair of the board of Meridian Healthcare, the largest provider of long-term care services in Maryland at the time. He was also president of the American Health Care Association and the Maryland Nursing Home Association.
Lipitz has a longstanding commitment to helping others through civic activities. He is a trustee emeritus of Johns Hopkins University and former chair of the Bloomberg School advisory board.
Center director Jennifer Wolff, PhD, MHS is the third Eugene and Mildred Lipitz Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management.
