Zeger Named Inaugural Hurley-Dorrier Professor In Biostatistics

On May 17, 2005, Scott L. Zeger, PhD, was installed as the inaugural Frank Hurley and Catharine Dorrier Professor in Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Zeger is professor and chair of the Department of Biostatistics at the Bloomberg School and acting director for the Biostatistics Consulting Center.

Birth Factors Associated with Risk for Autism

Prenatal environmental factors and parental mental health may be associated with a risk of autism, according to an analysis conducted by researchers at the Aarhus University in Denmark, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Media Visits

The Bloomberg School requires all media guests–including print and electronic reporters, photographers, producers, and videographers–to coordinate with a Bloomberg School media representative in advance of their visit, ideally with 48-hours notice. This applies to all School-affiliated buildings, offices, and facilities. 

Bloomberg School media guests will be accompanied by a communications staff member throughout their entire visit.
