Beliefs Impact Behavior (web article)

The study of health behavior is really a way to determine how to design interventions that change or reinforce beliefs, explained Martin Fishbein, PhD, the Harry C. Coles, Jr. Distinguished Professor in Communication at the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. However, “it’s not that we can’t change beliefs, it’s that we can’t tell you why the intervention was successful in changing those beliefs.”

Kenrad Nelson, MD, a professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, has been elected a Fellow in the Section on Medical Sciences by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

The Bloomberg School requires all media guests–including print and electronic reporters, photographers, producers, and videographers–to coordinate with a Bloomberg School media representative in advance of their visit, ideally with 48-hours notice. This applies to all School-affiliated buildings, offices, and facilities. 

Bloomberg School media guests will be accompanied by a communications staff member throughout their entire visit.
