Hosted by the Institute for Global Tobacco Control (IGTC), the monthly Innovations in Tobacco Control lecture series welcomes key researchers and experts to share ideas, present their work, and spark discussion. Presented via Zoom, this month’s event welcomes Attila Pohlmann, PhD, for a lecture entitled “Availability of Flavor Capsule Cigarettes at Points of Sale in Quito, Ecuador.”
The lecture will be followed by a brief moderated Q&A and a recording of the event will subsequently be posted to IGTC’s YouTube channel.

Attila Pohlmann, PhD
Attila Pohlmann has a PhD in international marketing/management from the University of Hawaii, a master’s degree in international marketing and communication from Universität Bielefeld (Germany), and a bachelor’s degree in international management from Université de Valenciennes (France). He is a professor of marketing at the School of Business of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador). His research focuses on transformative consumer research, specifically, investigating the roles of marketing and consumption in the creation and potential solution of social and environmental problems.
