Student Learning Groups

In addition to our excellent course offerings, the Biostatistics Department has two student-run learning clubs.

Biostats Computing Club

Journal and Computing Club

The Journal and Computing Club is a student-run seminar that meets on Wednesdays at 12:05 p.m., however the schedule is not regular due to speaker availability. Each meeting, they hear from students and postdocs who present computation-related topics or their current research. Lunch is served.

Biostatistics Student Organization (BSO)

The BSO aims to facilitate student-to-student and student-to-faculty communication and advocate for student needs. They meet on an as-needed basis within committees or across groups to discuss student concerns, activities, and other initiatives. See our BSO page for more details.
