Cells to Society: The Building Blocks of a Public Health Career

Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Fellowship

The Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity (ELBI) Fellowship inspires and connects the next generation of biosecurity leaders and innovators. This highly competitive, part-time program that provides an opportunity for talented graduate students and professionals to deepen their expertise, expand their network, and build their leadership skills through a series of events coordinated by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.

Health Emergencies in Large Populations (HELP)
- Start Date: July 13-24, 2026
- Duration: 2 weeks

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the essential issues related to public health, health care, management, law, and ethics that are associated with humanitarian action, and methods to address them.
- Analyze health and other humanitarian needs using a multidisciplinary approach that takes into consideration the perceptions, vulnerabilities, and capabilities of the people affected.
- Plan, manage, and evaluate activities in response to major humanitarian crises.
Global Tobacco Control: Learning From the Experts

With six themed modules, this course from the Institute for Global Tobacco Control allows anyone from public health professionals to students to increase their understanding of tobacco control topics, including learning how to prevent harm as tobacco products change and evolve.
Johns Hopkins Education and Research Center for Occupational Safety and Health

This continuing education (CE) program and the Center’s national and regional partners offer seminars, conferences and short courses to keep environmental and occupational safety and health professionals ahead of the industry’s changing regulations, compliance, and cultural demands.
Road Safety Legislation

The World Health Organization, in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit, is pleased to offer this online course to support capacity building in the field of road safety legislation. Participants will become familiar with how to develop evidence-based road safety laws and regulations.
Road Traffic Injury Prevention and Control in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (RTIP)

- Duration: Six 1-hour modules
- Format: Self-paced, online
The RTIP training program covers a wide range of topics in the fields of road safety and road traffic injury prevention. Participants will learn about the global burden and common risk factors for road traffic injury. This program will equip participants with the skills they need to develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based road traffic injury prevention and control programs.
Science of Clinical Investigation Training Program

The Science of Clinical Investigation Training Program (SOCI) is designed to enhance clinical scientists' theoretical and practical skills in the design, implementation.
The program is intended for:
- Scientists, clinicians, or support personnel fully engaged in clinical investigation
- Regulatory personnel involved in IRBs, DSMBs, and oversight of human subjects research
- Post-doctoral trainees in the clinical disciplines who would like an overview of the requirements of high-quality clinical investigation
Advocacy Action Lab

Leading Transformation for Value-Based Health Care
