Health Equity Training Showcase

Health equity experts, representing centers across Johns Hopkins University, share novel trainee and health equity research opportunities.
Capacity-Building Workshops

The UHI hosts a series of capacity-building workshops for community-based organizations in Baltimore. Topics include grant writing skills, program evaluation, financial management, effective advocacy, and leadership development.
Funding Opportunities

We value collaborations between Baltimore City agencies, community organizations, and Johns Hopkins and the work being done to enhance the health and well-being of Baltimore City and aim to support such collaborations through our grants.
Building Neighborhood Leadership

This leadership program cultivates and trains neighborhood-level and community-based leaders to build with them the knowledge, skills, and mentorship to improve health outcomes.
Social Determinants of Health Symposium

On an annual basis the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute, in collaboration with the office of the Provost, convenes a symposium focused on the social determinants of health.
Henrietta Lacks Memorial Award

This $15,000 award highlights the importance of community-university collaborations, recognizes the accomplishments which can be achieved by such partnerships, and continues to support the efforts of the partnership.
Baltimore Grantee Showcase

The Urban Health Institute's Grantee Showcase is an annual event for attendees to learn more about our funding opportunities and the incredible work our grant recipients are engaged in across Baltimore.
