Rapid Assessment of COVID-19 Management in Odisha (RAMCO)
Odisha state in India has drawn from prior experience in natural disaster preparedness and risk mitigation in order to implement exemplary measures as a state-wide response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This project will undertake documentation of implementation measures of the Government of Odisha, including innovative practices of institutional strengthening, as well as a scientifically rigorous analysis of various policies to reduce health risks and socio-economic downturns wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic on the people of Odisha. This project seeks to record institutional memory and best practices to not only help the state in being better prepared to respond to future pandemics, but also provide learning to other states in India and other countries with similar context in refining their pandemic and disaster management strategies.
