Experiences & Accomplishments
The goal of my work is to help improve our understanding of human exposure to environmental contaminants, primarily through developing novel methodologies for non-targeted analysis of compounds in human and environmental specimens via high-resolution mass spectrometry. I am experienced in working with various human biospecimens, including urine, blood/plasma, oral fluid, and tissue, and several environmental media such as biosolids, house dust, wastewater, and surface water. Additionally, I am skilled in data processing using different cheminformatic and statistical tools. Previously, I studied the effects of consuming over-the-counter products on producing positive drug test results, and the pharmacokinetics of major and minor cannabinoids and their metabolites following various administration routes in frequent and occasional cannabis users.
