Overview

I have a diverse background and training with almost 15 years of experience in clinical research, infectious diseases, project management and regulatory affairs. Currently, I use my expertise to manage all day-to-day operations of the surveillance activities and research projects conducted in the Maryland Active Bacterial Core Surveillance (MD ABCs) Program, which is part of the Emerging Infections Program, a collaboration with the Maryland Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control. Including project design and implementation, development of processes for liaising with reporting labs to ensure provision of invasive isolates; standard operating procedures for coordination of isolate shipments to collaborators; employment of data modernization tools to streamline data collection, review, and analysis. Additionally, I also collaborate and provide regulatory management on several BSPH multi-site, cohort, HIV and COVID-19 studies that focus on transgender people, their risk factors for infection, knowledge gaps and their disease incidence.
