Dr. Mehta is Assistant Scientist at the International Vaccine Access Center and at the International Center for Maternal and Newborn health within the Department of International Health. He is a pediatric infectious disease specialist with a focus on infectious disease epidemiology and maternal and child health, particularly in low- and middle-income country settings. He is a co-investigator on the PREVAIL project, which aims to evaluate the impact of the rollout of the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) in India’s Universal Immunization Program. Dr. Mehta is also a co-investigator on several WHO-led multi-country studies at the Projahnmo Research Foundation field sites in Dhaka and Sylhet, Bangladesh, aiming to optimize outcomes related to newborn health.
