Overview
Justin Mayhew, MPH is a Research Associate at the Center for American Indian Health, where he works on the development of health education curricula and COVID-19 communications materials. Justin is interested in addressing health disparities and structural inequities in communities through health education.
Justin serves as the primary author on a wide range of curricula at the Center, including Azhe’é Bidziil (Strong Fathers): Improving Outcomes Among Rural Native Fathers and Their Families; Wa’ Kan ye’ zah (Little Holy One); and Arrowhead Business Group. As of January 2022, Justin has also produced over 20 fact sheets and 12 radio PSAs on a variety of COVID-19 topics for Native American communities.
Justin completed his BA in Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MPH in Health Behavior at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
