Overview
My research focuses broadly on optimizing HIV prevention and treatment outcomes for populations most vulnerable to or disproportionately affected by HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa and the U.S., including female sex workers, serodifferent couples, pregnant women, young women, and men who have sex with men. My work utilizes implementation science frameworks and methodologies to design and evaluate implementation strategies to improve uptake and adherence to evidence-based biomedical interventions. My training is in infectious disease epidemiology and I have technical expertise in reproductive health and implementation research. I am the Director of the Inter-Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Implementation Science and HIV Training Fellowship for early stage investigators, Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins University CFAR Implementation Science Core, Co-Director of the Implementation Science Technical Consultation Hub for the Mid-Atlantic CFAR Consortium, and a member of the Key Populations Program at the Center for Public Health and Human Rights.
