Overview

Dr. Li's research interests include injury prevention, program evaluation, and maternal and child health. Methodologically, he is developing artificial intelligence and machine learning models to support the use of big data (e.g., government statistics, electronic health records, surveys and censuses) in health systems research. 

He is currently conducting research in Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, and the United States. 

He teaches Health Systems Research and Evaluation in Developing Countries, and Systems Science in Public Health: Basic Modeling and Simulation Methods.
