Overview
Beth Fredrick is helping to lead the Advance Family Planning advocacy initiative as the Co-Principal Investigator and Executive Director, with The Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health. She is also Deputy Director of the Gates Institute, a Senior Associate in the Population, Family and Reproductive Health Department, and a co-founder of the Center on Public Health Advocacy.
She has worked with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communications Programs, the International Women’s Health Coalition as Executive Vice President, and the Guttmacher Institute as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She was a Bell Fellow with Harvard University and adjunct faculty with the New York University Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She is a former Chair of the Ibis Reproductive Health Board and serves on the Board of EMpower, a grant-making organization which supports health and development programs in emerging markets and the U.S. Board of the Asia-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW).
