Overview

Shannon Frattaroli's research interests include understanding the role of policy in improving the health of populations, with particular attention to the implementation of public health policies and the role of advocacy and communities in the policy process. As the Director of the Center for Injury Research and Policy she works with teams conducting innovative and impactful research to make road travel, the home environment, and communities safer. Her own research portfolio includes current projects to advance the implementation of extreme risk protection order policies in states across the country. She teaches courses in policy formulation and qualitative methods. Dr. Frattaroli is the President of the Faculty Senate.
