Taking The H.E.L.P Course

(Maximum 200 words)

Special Needs: If you have special needs or required disability assistance, please notify the course coordinator via email at helpcourse.jhsph@gmail.com

The HELP course is offered for both academic credit and non-credit. The course carries 5 JHU credit hours. Tuition rates for both academic credit and non-credit enrollment are available on the JHU Summer Institute website:
https://publichealth.jhu.edu/academics/accelerated-learning-institutes/summer-institutes/general-institute-tuition-information.

For non-credit students this amounts to $3645. A general scholarship of $2145 is applied and is available to all non-credit HELP course participants, and the difference represents the course costs. Final course costs and payment details will be provided upon acceptance. Payment is due by June 12, 2026 at noon (USA EDT), or at the time of registration and acceptance.

To secure a place in the course, applicants are encouraged to apply and submit payment once accepted, well in advance of the deadline.

There are a very small number of full scholarships available for non-credit participants. A full scholarship covers the full cost of the course. However, this will only be available for a few selected individuals in Low- and Middle-Income Countries. Please write a brief statement outlining your scholarship request. This will help us determine your eligibility for scholarship support.

My Initials below certifies that:

  • The information I have given in this application is correct.
  • I understand that part of the HELP course includes recorded pre-course materials which must be completed before the live course begins and includes a short quiz. This will take approximately 10 hours. Failure to complete this required pre-course work will result in my removal from participation in the live sessions held from 13-24 July 2026.
  • I understand that there are attendance requirements to earn a certificate of completion from the HELP course. I am allowed a maximum of 1 day absences. Any more absences will prevent me from earning this certificate of completion.
  • If I am taking the HELP course for academic credit, I understand that the JHSPH student academic ethics code applies to my work and there are different course fees.

Refunds will be issued by written request if received before the final payment deadline.

You will be contacted by a respresentative from H.E.L.P to confirm acceptance and retreive payment for the course.
