Ziqian An
From Beijing
I Graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. During my undergraduate studies, my research focused on innate immunity, with a particular emphasis on complement receptors and formyl peptide receptors. Outside the lab, I enjoy skiing and archery.
Prathyusha Chintalapudi
From Columbus, Ohio
Prathyusha received a dual B.S. in Biochemistry and Mathematics from the Ohio State University in 2023. Before coming to Hopkins, she researched oncolytic virotherapy for pediatric cancer at the Cripe Lab in Nationwide Children's Hospital for 4 years. She is an aspiring healthcare professional who is passionate about health advocacy and humanitarian health. Outside of academics, she enjoys baking, gardening, and dancing.
Zhiwen Dong
From Shanghai, China
Zhiwen graduated from Chongqing Medical University with a degree in Bachelor of Science in clinical pharmacy and finished one year’s clinical training rotation in Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He is interested in immunology, pharmacology, and therapeutics. He is also an enthusiastic amateur volleyball player and football fan, with his favorite team being FC Bayern Munich.

Mohammad (Ali) Shah
From San Diego, California
Ali earned his B.S. in Cellular Molecular Biology from San Diego State University. While a California native, Ali has strong ancestral ties to Karachi, Pakistan. As an aspiring physician, Ali has immersed himself in both academic and community service throughout his studies. He has served as an undergraduate research assistant in The Sethuraman Genomics Lab at SDSU, presented his findings at academic symposiums, and served as a teaching assistant for multiple general biology and microbiology courses. In addition to his academic roles, Ali has gained hands-on experience in healthcare as an EMT and has volunteered his time to support various community health initiatives. Presently, Ali is working under the mentorship of Dr. Sullivan on researching the ACE2/Ang-(1-7) pathway and its association with long-term COVID (PASC). Ali is driven by his goal to reform healthcare and address socioeconomic disparities through both his research and future career as a physician.

I went to undergrad at the University of Maryland majoring in public health. I decided the MHS program in MMI due to my aspirations of becoming a physician. I found that through research at hospice facilities, as an EMT, as well as many others I have a passion for helping others!
