U.S. Global Mental Health Alliance

Our Mission

The mission of the Alliance is to enhance the effectiveness and reach of activities by U.S.-based organizations in support of improving global mental health.

About Us

The U.S. Global Mental Health Alliance is a diverse group of organizations pursuing the Alliance mission through collective advocacy. We advocate for increased resources and attention to global mental health by key stakeholders, including Congress. We also advocate for improved quality and reach of services, also with Congress and other stakeholders, but also internally among Alliance members. This begins with an agreed set of principles on which to base programming. With the support of the Department of Mental Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, we collaborate on key tasks we view as important to achieving our mission.

The Alliance was formed in 2023, beginning with outreach to organizations that publicly supported the MINDS Act. Later, this was expanded to outreach to any U.S.-based organization with an interest in global mental health programming and support.
