Description
Familiarizes Health Systems students with ongoing faculty research and provides a forum for discussion of current and emerging topics in health systems and international health. This term, the seminar exposes students to timely and relevant issues shaping the field—from the implications of artificial intelligence and digital health innovations to critical debates on decolonization, equity, and global governance. Students engage directly with faculty and guest experts conducting cutting-edge research in areas such as health economics, AI, and global health governance.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Identify emerging research and practice opportunities within the Health Systems program, including novel areas such as artificial intelligence, decolonization and health governance.
  2. Engage critically with ongoing faculty and research initiatives to understand how contemporary issues shape health systems design, policy, and implementation.
