Students actively conduct research on topics of global health importance, including developing a research question, designing a study to answer the question, conducting the research and writing up the results in a scientific format.
Learning Objectives
This course will prepare you to be able to do the following:
- Identify research questions of importance to health in underserved populations in low resource settings internationally and in the US.
- Design a study or studies to answer the questions.
- Develop an application to an Institutional Review Board to address human subjects research issues
- Write up the results of research for the scientific literature
