About the Organization
Dedicated to providing safe and supportive housing in an environment conducive to recovery, transition, and restoration for women recovering from addictions; facilitates education, empowerment, enlightenment, and healing for the women it serves.
Involvement Opportunities
- Develop or assist at workshops for women (topics of addiction, disease model, relapse, prevention, wellness/nutrition and more)
- Help coordinate and identify the steps to make a gated alleyway and green-space for kids to play in East Baltimore
- Research & Development
- Data collection
- Health Facilitator - Facilitate a group on HIV/HEPC/TB/ and STDs; semi annually
- Provide information to facilitate risk-free behavior and give the assessment surveys
- Will match student expertise/passion to their needs
Volunteer Requirements
- Complete online volunteer application
- Take Orientation training
- Pass Orientation Quiz
Note – If working directly with the women, TB Test and Background check required
Days of the Week for Student Volunteers
- Monday – Friday
- Weekends
- Special Event Hours
