The user experience on the Tobacco Pack Surveillance System (TPackSS) website improved in late 2024 thanks to IGTC’s work with website development partner, Zivtech.

The TPackSS collection will soon increase by nearly 25% with the addition of packs collected in China, Indonesia, and Mexico (pictured).

Upgrades to the backend systems of the website targeted enhanced search capabilities and paved the way for the addition of new pack collections in 2025.

Keyword searches will now provide more accurate results across the collection of more than 6,500 packs. In addition, the way some information appears on individual pack pages is now streamlined.

This dev work also built a more secure structure to accommodate the expected upload of packs from China, Indonesia, and Mexico. The 2021 Mexico collection is now available.
The three country collections will add approximately 1,500 new packs to the database.  Other planned updates include the addition of the first collection of e-cigarette products to TPackSS, in 2025.
