Why did you choose this program?
I chose the Master of Science in Environmental Health program in EHE because I wanted to get a background in environmental health while also getting hands-on research experience, which I've definitely been able to do.
What do you like most about EHE?
One of my favorite parts about the Department is the diverse array of interests and research from both faculty and students. Environmental health is a broad field, so getting to learn from faculty members in different areas of expertise has been a great way to engage with different communities and issues. Students also bring in their own experiences with the environmental health issues that impact their communities or issues that they are particularly passionate about, which helps create more unique perspectives to learn from.

What advice would you give a prospective student who's considering enrolling in this program?
It’s important to take time for yourself and to get to know your cohort! While the academic side of the program is important, you can also learn from opportunities outside the classroom, so don't be afraid to get outside your comfort zone.
What is your favorite thing about living in Baltimore?
My favorite part about living in Baltimore has been getting to experience East Coast culture and food! I never knew how many different things you can put Old Bay seasoning on, but the list is never-ending.
