Where are you working or studying now?

I am currently working as an environmental health and safety specialist at Genscript, a biotechnology corporation. I conduct safety meetings with supervisors of each lab department to communicate ways to mitigate risks when workers perform lab procedures. I have also performed risk assessments in each lab department to evaluate what can be a health risk to the workers.

How did your degree prepare you for your current and future roles in environmental science?

At Bloomberg I took challenging courses such as epidemiology, risk sciences, and toxicology. The workload was heavy at times, which enabled me to be manage my time well. There were due dates after due dates so it was very crucial to stay on top of everything.

What was your favorite thing about living in Baltimore?

I really loved going to the Inner Harbor. The food was amazing, attractions like the National Aquarium were beautiful, and I also played beach volleyball with some of my colleagues in the area as well! Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
