Bloomberg School is well represented at International Conference on Family Planning
Among the 4,000 people expected to attend the International Conference on Family Planning that runs November 12-15 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is an impressive contingent of Bloomberg School students, alumni, faculty, staff and partners. Many will be presenting new research related to the theme of this year’s conference—Full Access, Full Choice—while others are fulfilling a wide range of roles associated with the fact that the School’s Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health is a co-host with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health.
Like the previous conferences (held in 2011 and 2009) which catalyzed the global family planning movement and led to increased global commitments to family planning access, ICFP 2013 showcases the depth and reach of family planning research at Johns Hopkins and beyond. Bloomberg School students and faculty, along with their global partners, are involved in many facets of the complex issues surrounding family planning.
