Student Intern Mentored by Injury Center Faculty Presents at the 2024 C.A.R.E.S. Symposium
On July 25th, the Johns Hopkins Medicine, Office of Diversity Inclusion and Health Equity hosted the annual C.A.R.E.S. Symposium. Summer interns with Generation Tomorrow, a Summer Health Disparity Scholars program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, had the opportunity to participate. The Symposium included over 100 student research poster presentations, as well as virtual presentations, ranging in topic from HIV and Hepatitis C to substance use, mental health, and the social determinants of health.
Intern Angelease Bunton, an undergraduate student from Spelman College and Gneration Tomorrow mentee of Professor and Injury Center Director of Training and Education, Renee M. Johnson, PhD, MPH, presented her project titled “Overdose Prevention in Injury Prevention Journals.”
