Keshia Pollack Porter, PhD, MPH became Dean of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in August 2025. She is the Bloomberg Centennial Professor of the Institute of Health and Social Policy. She uses research to advance policies that promote health equity, especially where people live, work, play, learn and travel. Pollack Porter directs the Health Policy Research Scholars Program and serves as core faculty in the Center for Health Disparities Solutions. Center for Indigenous Health and Center for Injury Research and Policy.

Joshua Sharfstein, MD, works to develop and promote public health strategies, healthcare payment approaches, and regulatory policies that advance health and equity. Sharfstein is also core faculty in the Center for School Health and leads the Bloomberg American Health Initiative, focused on key issues impacting Americans' life expectancy.
